I was looking at it today and I think there may be two things going on
If you book a room for points for next month (February) you can book it for 90,000. Further out it jumps the + 20K to 100K.
I wonder if the first + 10K is due to the general Hilton de-valuation , but I wonder if the additional + 10K is due to their "Resort Enhancements". I would think it would be nice to wait for the construction to be complete (understated annoyance) before raising the costs, but who knows maybe they only change rates once a year and they decided to do it now to account for both of the cases I suggested.
It looks like it will be completely done in the fall, but I don't see any mention of the "new tower" in a search for a room in the fall.
I think the Million Dollar question is whether this "new tower" will be 100K (this would make the the increase make sense) or if the new tower will be a premium rate like the Aruba tower is today. Good questions!
