It'll take some amount of time for Amex and Delta to get your card info linked... not sure how long that is exactly. Does the 15% off award tickets already show when you go to book?

Otherwise, that could just be a normal Delta IT issue... I've been having a lot of trouble booking flights lately and getting various random errors.
