Really depends on the property and rewards program. Just ran into this with Hilton and they didn’t inform people until 30-60 days prior and just auto-cancelled ressies without rebooking or any confirmation. Requests for any type of compensation were told to pound sand.
Hopefully Hyatt handles things better.
My only comparable experience with Hyatt: For a Hyatt that unexpectedly closed while we held ressies, a dedicated team shifted ressies to the closest Hyatt property. But it was a very very bumpy process to get to that end.
If you have a ressie, I’d make backup plans for sure.
