We have lost so much since the Oneworld transition, and gained what -- AA earning (already had BA)? Wasn't worth it. I feel like the past few years has been "Let's be AA in the Northwest, lowest common denominator, woo!" I hope they are paying attention that spend based is not what people want to see. Edit: Or they are surveying credit card holders who already get a free bag? That's the biggest perk to MVP for me, since out of SEA there aren't really common upgrades avail even to premium.
