Thank you, James. I was just reviewing T&Cs for partner J flights purchased on AS. On one hand, they seem to be limited to flights "marketed by Alaska" and only for specific flight numbers. i.e. If the flight and flight number is prefaced by the operating carriers code, you get the same RDMs/EQMs as if you purchased them on the partner site.
"
For flights marketed and operated by a partner (partner two letter code precedes the flight number), and booked on alaskaair.com, see chart below in Earning on Partner Flights booked via Partner Sites for mapping of fare class to cabin by partner."
This would result in a 125% scenario.
However...
"
To qualify, flights must be in the range of eligible flight numbers listed below, and must be marketed by Alaska Airlines and operated by the airlines noted below, or marketed and operated by the partner and booked on alaskaair.com or the Alaska mobile app. Base miles and fare class bonus miles earned count as elite-qualifying miles. Award flights booked are not eligible to earn miles even if booked into the fare classes noted on the earn charts"
This would result in a 250% scenario.
These guidelines seem to contradict one another, I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I'm ready to pull the trigger on a partner fare combo that doesn't exist outside of the AS app/website and it will make a difference as to whether I do this or not.
