Similar situation, STL-FLL. They have increased prices to $440 plus less than a week out. Flights are mostly full or sold out though I suspect a lot of people buy cheaper far in advance for a winter vacation. I am not able to do that and have thus far only flown 1 WN flight so far in 2025, normally 6-8 a month. Because of the prices (can be $750 BS) and availability I have explored other options. Driving an extra 30 minutes and flying AA has been a bit of a revelation, a much nicer experience overall. Have done the same on NK which everyone rags on but is otherwise fine. I find the flight attendants friendlier, the timelines tighter and the experience mostly better. My gf who hates long drives recently asked for the AA flight because it was "way more enjoyable". We have CP which is a huge benefit but not sure what else is keeping us on WN other than the occasional more convenient departure time. I hope they shake things up sooner rather than later.
