Their decision to pull out of SYR in August 2024 pushed me to look at other options. I fly to MCO and DEN and JetBlue and United offer non stops to those respectively. I just took my first JetBlue flight in 10+ years and other than a number of schedule changes, it was a pleasant flight. Paid $40 for second bag each way, but that’s what I’d pay for parking at BUF or ROC. I was also able to find a nonstop on United DEN>SYR, two days before the outbound flight on 12/30 for $420.

JetBlue is very much YMMV. After takeoff, it's wonderful. You just have lower odds that it will get off the ground close to on time. Book Southwest as a backup.
