My experience is that Lyft’s fares are essentially the same as Uber. Over the last few years I’ve used Lyft just for the reason of earning miles, but will have no problem switching to Uber as my primary with this change. I have had more issues with Lyft drivers cancelling than Uber, but that’s just my limited observation. Overall I think the only caveat to this will be remembering to switch providers come 4/7.
