Thanks to all for the various reports and updates, certainly helpful.
Planning a stay in 2nd half or the year, purely for convenience as was pointed out already. Have a ~20:30 arrival into TPE T2 and a ~07:30 morning departure from the same, so a clean room, a good shower and maximizing sleep is key. Traveling back and forth into Taipei doesn't make much sense for this quick stop / transit. Breakfast will be at BR lounge (in Royal Laurel) and / or onboard so minimal use of hotel facilities anyways. Seems to fit the bill.
