I was able to switch the ff number on the booking, and it now shows up with star alliance gold on the booking, but I cant manage the booking in the Singapore Airlines app, instead I have to keep remembering the booking number.
My question is, given i dont care where the miles will go (im usually on KLM/AF) is there any beneift to having the TK number on the SQ booking? Would i just be able to flash my TK pass to access the fast track, lounge and checkin if I went back to the SQ number or should I just try to remember the booking code?
If onboard wifi is useful, then you'll need the SQ ff# in the booking.
Specifically, you can ask staff to set FQTV to your TK*G (for accrual, lounge etc), and set FQTS to your SQ ff# (for status, wifi on SQ etc). You can use generic language if you prefer, and ask staff to use " TK for accrual and SQ so I can use the wifi".
(Note that if both FQTV and FQTS have data entered, then the system is smart enough to use the higher status.)
SQ staff were quite happy to keep my NZ*G number in the booking, and put my no-status SQ ff# into the other field as described.
