On flights to/from Europe, you can schedule a mini-stopover in AMS by flying in one day and out the next, so long as you do not exceed the 24 hour limit. I am not familiar with the Asian schedules.
I must be very lucky! Before I booked my BWI-SYD trip, I was not very familiar with the stopover policy. I just called the GE line and told them my plan with stopovers(SIN~41hours, KUL~28hours and BKK~42hours). All the agents I spoke to did not mention the stopover rule and finally they did not charge me $5.00 ticketing fee . This trip involves MH segments, might this be the reason?
