Oh well, got a few miles off it for the last few years. DL's switch to Lyft won't influence my ride sharing (we're talking pennies worth of miles). I'll prob still prefer Lyft due to the 10x bonus on Chase SR cards. However, my most important criteria is how long I have to wait for a ride.
The CSR 10X points on Lyft expires on March 31st of this year. Based on both these changes happening around the same time, it's clear Lyft has decided to stop paying for partner channel rides, presumably in an attempt to gain a few points of margin (potentially at the expense of revenue).
I'll definitely take fewer rides on Lyft going forward after that time and shift more to Uber. Honestly it's a bit of a relief... I hate the ads that Lyft has in their app and they retired their web-based version whereas Uber still has theirs (where ad removal is a bit easier).
