Most (if not all) restaurants in Miyajima only open for lunch, since most visitors are day visitors. Make sure you have a suitable dinner option (or are willing to have no dinner at all) if skipping the dinner at the ryokan.
I suppose the time in Osaka is intended for visiting Expo 2025 and that you have already been to Kyoto and Nara. This is a good itinerary if so (except for the Golden Week part, but I guess you have no choice here).
The expensive French restaurant at the art museum was open for dinner the night I stayed there. If I went back (I won't), I'd much rather stay in the town than in the museum lodging which when I went was like a trip back to a cramped 1950's motel room. In the town, despite it being small, surely something will be open for dinner. And if not, you can survive one night of a convenience store bento anyway.
And despite me denigrating the facilities, the art collection is definitely worth making a journey to if you are into art like I am. But you don't need to stay at the museum lodging just to be able to look at the paintings in one of the sub-museums when it is closed. A day visit is sufficient.
