Yeah, definitely something out of line with other partners on the HNL-HND non-stop. I found a couple of dates where AS showed 4 PE but other partners only showed 1 PE, including JAL itself (at the saver rate). I do see a number of dates where HNL-KIX is available in PE with 4 seats though, many days available connecting to HND (in Y), if that interests you.
I saw that as well, don't mind a short flight in coach, especially on JAL. Where were you able to confirm the PE availability? I guess i can go ahead and try to book again and see if I get the same error message.
Shoots, just looked, for some reason that stop-over flight isn't showing on Alaska's searches. Maybe I should do a multi-city? And normally, if JAL is selling saver PE for cash, that is inventory that Alaska would have access to? JAL was showing 4 tickets for cash at saver PE so I was hopeful.
