I flew on an online upgrade less than 2 weeks ago and that had lounge included.
But if you are transiting DOH you need business on the departing sector as well to have lounge access (e.g arriving on business and departing on economy). And yes Platinum will get you into Al Safwa regardless of Business ticket type.
