I'm flying paid WT+ LHR-SYD in a few months -- seat selection already only had a couple of middle seats left, and I was a bit disappointed as I wanted an aisle.

I tried calling CS to see if they had access to a different allocation, and she was incredibly nice, said that they didn't, but that she'd put through a request to seating for me. She told me that it would probably be a few weeks for them to sort it.

Would you believe, two weeks later, 30B has miraculously appeared and I've been allocated it. It's my first experience flying a premium class with BA and I'm quite chuffed already -- I haven't even got to the airport!
