I've had some quite decent salads, wraps, or sandwiches on regional flights before the pandemic so I didn't want to completely fill up ahead of time if it's more like that. UA is flying with the Alp and Dell "cheese" package on that route which doesn't qualify as "food" in my book, so we'll see if AA rates better. If not, I saved like $40 and can eat at MSP

It won't be a hot meal, but I've had some decent salads (a dinner-sized salad) and sandwiches when I've been on the E175 for longer trips (DFW-FCA, perhaps others). If you log in, you should see the options a few days ahead of time.
Huh?

Unless something has changed very recently, there is no pre-ordering on AA regional jet flights (including E75s), and no ability to see options before the flight. And no dinner sized salads or sandwiches.

Are you sure you're not mixing things up with Alaska Airlines regional flights?
