I mean, you stay here for the convenience factor :-)
The letter on the bed explaining that it would take 18-24 months to get to the “Hyatt Regency standard” is quite telling. Here are my impressions and photos:
Pros:
- Despite not noticing in app (earlier upgrade had shown Airport View Deluxe) and not being told at check-in, I was upgraded to a suite facing the Terminal 3 construction
- The room was clean enough and didn’t feel THAT worn
- Lounge staff was kind, and they had Bailey’s during evening service
Neutral:
- Bed needs updating - the mattress is way too firm, covers are fine (not paper thin but not that plush), pillows were nice and plush, though
- Shower pressure is just fine - feels like it could be better
Cons:
- Breakfast is nothing to write home about - they do have omelets, but the hashbrowns had an odd texture and the croissants were just bad - coffee wasn’t great either
I mean, I would come back if I had to deal with a morning departure out of TPE.
