I think anyone critical of the OP should look in a mirror. Some of the people critical have thousands of posts on flyertalk. Some people would call it sad or crazy you post on board about flying commerical on planes. I know I have been looked at sideways before.
If we take a long enough view, I can't really disagree with your point because during the early days of FT, yet to be closed loopholes were a dime a dozen, and lot of our conversations focused on how to use these to our benefit and occasionally stress test them to the death of entire companies (e.g. "Valuemags ---> Concorde" comes to mind). But, I like to think of (the 00s) us as a crowd sourced QA staff for marketers who were in way over their heads.
Against that backdrop, the OP's desire to leverage his plane ticket into a dozen or so snack boxes that nobody really likes unless they're starving doesn't seem like such an enormous moral transgression.
