Apart from that I don't think I really understood your question.
I gifted Premium to my mother in late October 24 and the status is valid until 01/26. So, when you gift Premium, the status lasts for the remaining of the recipient current year +1.
To rephrase. I decided to keep give away premium card for myself (duplicate account). Assuming that my executive expires 01/26, I wanted to know when to give it away to get Premium card with longest validity beyond 01/26. I would do this as there is probably no soft landing feature in Volare program.
ITA has been very generous and has been extending matched statuses for multiple years in row. I don’t expect this happening anymore under LHG…
