It happened to me recently during a landing @ CDG. The crew passed by and asked all pax that were on their phones/tables and asked them to turn them off, however did not enforce it. It was a A220 and Interestingly enough the wifi sign was left on (not sure if that means that they did not turn it off which i would find weird?).
