It’s good that UA is deciding to resurrect a minihub at NRT, in spite of essentially no Star domestic flights to feed. Half of UA’s TPAC flights to TYO still go to NRT. Most of AC’s TYO flights go to NRT. With the limited slots at HND, I think and hope UA’s ramp up at NRT is here to stay. With that, I’m hoping NH brings back more domestic connections out of NRT as the capacity increases with the new runway opening.
Interesting to see the future runway layout at NRT. B and C are 2 miles apart but nearly aligned along the same line.
I did not know about FUK’s new runway.
I’m reading that, because the new runway is only 210 meters apart from the existing runway, the two runways cannot fully function simultaneously and therefore the net yield is that it only increases capacity by 2 more flights per hour.
