I do exactly that sometimes get the request for the data already provided and just respond back referring to the information in the body of the email. I have given up email over the last couple of weeks as response time had rendered it meaningless. I have also had major delays getting the fares department to quote taxes and fees on multicarrier bookings which is hugely problematic as Qatar seem to only hold reward bookings for 48 hours. Final data point was trying to get a reward booking at T+355 on January 5th midnight. Nobody picked up for 20 minutes. Thankfully if you get a good agent they do go above and beyond to help.
