Equipment change - downgrade - options? [Premium Economy removed]
Hello I booked premium economy with points from British Airways. With an equipment change I was downgraded to economy - the flight isn't until July. I called BA and they said after the flight I can call and they will refund me the difference. I called Iberia and they just told me there is no availability in PE via avios - only economy. I was able to at least book an exit row in economy online
I have to be on this flight because my wife and daughter are on it - on another booking in business class (still confirmed).
My question - I assume I am out of luck for PE - nothing else to do - but what can I expect in the way of a refund? I paid 40k avios +$105.
edit- different issue- my wife and daughter were booked in the "honeymoon" seats since she is 5 - those assignments were removed and I cannot book a seat via either BA or Iberia- they each tell me to contact the other - any options?
