Any thoughts on a visit with a checked bag?

I'm going to have time to waste Monday late morning (and the T7 Horizons lounge doesn't seem exciting). Thinking of being dropped off at the hotel, explore a bit, and then the AT to T7.

Just wondering about wandering around, maybe a cocktail and/or late breakfast, with a checked bag.
