One of the very telling things for me, and why I'll be making zero effort to maintain Gold under the new system, is that despite the backlash, and obvious concerns around the new system - and I mean genuine concerns about tickets purchased pre Dec 30th, or the bonus TP, etc - BA have not even attempted to better explain the new system to us, or assuage concerns about existing bookings etc.
I strongly suspect that a lot of people at BA don't understand the new system and, worse yet, that the new system was pushed through before even those who do understand it had the chance to consider the questions that would be raised (and have answers prepared).
