BA Holidays bookings made over the internet are nonreturnable! I think they are changeable, potentially as a courtesy, within 24 hours without fee. It would be possible to change down to the cheapest one way domestic in economy and receive back the difference.
I may be misremembering the free changes within 24 hours.
BA Holidays bookings made over the phone only are fully refundable for 24 hours, as well as changeable for free, or at least they were the last time I booked.
