-When selecting a room at the online check in, which ones have the best views? As in toward which direction.
The Executive King is the exact same room as the Premium King High Floor, it just comes with lounge access. So as a Diamond by default that's really what you've booked.

The Grand Premium rooms are just the corner rooms on the higher/premium floors. As a Diamond this is what you could realistically get an upgrade to, I've gotten them several times.

To summarize:
Deluxe King - Old style, lower floors
Corner King - Slightly larger corner room, old style, lower floors
Premium King High Floor - New style, higher floors
Executive King - New style, higher floors, lounge access
Grand Premium King High Floor - Slightly larger corner room, new style, higher floors

And for the views, agree with above in that they're more or less the same regardless of what side you're on. You're either looking over Sukhumvit/highway or the Wireless Rd/Embassy area. I personally prefer the Sukhumvit view but have had both many times and don't really care in the end.
