Order taken in terms of "the smoked salmon, the burrata or the charcuterie board" then "the beef, the trout, or the pasta". Pasta was elaborated to mozzarella & basil after the CC went off to consult. Pudding was not identified by name but mine appears to be the frequent flyer "crunchy chocolate". Usual tiny salad and triple bread.
I had the burrata which came with figs and other vegetables, followed by beef which had a mushroomy (?) sauce and potato gratin with wilted red peppers and pea/spinach mix. Also a frequent flyer.
Mrs. stifle [VLML] was served the burrata from the main menu. This appears to be a change of direction to serving main menu items for special meal requests where the main item meets those needs, and seems eminently sensible. Main was a tofu korma curry with rice, spinach and chickpeas. Coconut pie for pudding – many of the common desserts fail to be vegetarian on account of gelatine.
