I agree mixed itineraries are an open question--forgot to include that as a bullet point. I think my default might be to book those on AS. My brief understanding of how HA credit works, is it is entirely Rube Goldbergian. Sounds like both cancelling and rebooking with the credit is an exercise in tedium.
