DUB is a bit weird - I’ve been told the issue there is that Ryanair hasn’t paid the fee for “flight connections facility”, and is enforced (sometimes) by a staff member at T1 flight connections manually checking onward boarding passes turning away people connecting to FR flights. T1 FC also doesn’t bypass security so is only marginally quicker than going landside. T2 FC has automatic gates that happily accept FR boarding passes.

Neither are always open, though, so sometimes you have to go landside. I read something on here about FC closing when certain Middle Eastern flights arrive as they’re not permitted to transit without reclearing security.
