Because it is tied in to the BA57 flight now due out at 17:00 hrs from LHR, you can track that flight and thus have some degree of confidence before going to bed that this flight will be coming back. The 08:10 time is optimistic, I would expect reality to be an hour or two later.

After a 4 hour delay (5 hours in some circumstances) you can ask to be rebooked to alternative services, or you can take a refund and rebook yourself, though I can't see that option useful on that particular route. So yes, you can ask to be moved to the Sunday BA54 or BA56, and yes there is space at the moment. Ring the disruption number in the email / post 1 if you want to do this, since on the 777 service there is only one pair of WTP seats next to each other.
Very many thanks as always CWS

We would prefer some certainty and a night flight so will try and change . Is the later BA 54 CS out of interest ? Can we still claim eu261 if we change to this ?

Thanks
