it hasn’t sailed. AA is still very, very strong with LAX local. It also has 33 gates, way more than Delta or United, and no plans to give any up. Do note however that is has less than 33 right now with construction.

AA does have minimum usage requirements for their gates and will continue to meet them.

I don’t think AA will chase anything. It has a stronger share of local traffic than the others and the difference between one and three, we are talking about like two dozen daily flights and some plane upgauges, it’s nothing significant.
