EDI has a lot of Nordic links, including FAE, KEF, BGO - they may get a through ticket on to QR or DL or AA. On paper there are also shorthaul options via GLA, NCL and BRS. There are also Ryanair and easyJet services all over the UK, as separate tickets. But BHX is the unexploited biggy here though, it does have quite a big network of theoretical connections.
I’m assuming the need for interlined tickets to use international transit, just like at DUB Ryanair passengers are excluded from the transit pathways (though all require clearing Immigration anyway). The plethora of EDI connections I hadn’t fully realised, though how many really happen? BHX is interesting, though is there much actual international transit off the flights arriving or is it a theoretical (and not interlined) thing?
