It looks to have a patio and windows and is built out directly over the kitchen space in main floor plans.
There is also, interestingly, what would appear to be a second top floor lounge space at the beginning of the T5 terminal. It also appears to have a patio/outdoor space with a couple trees. This space aligns with the lounge elevators in the architectual plans above.
Strongly suggests to me that, at least at this stage, there are two seperate 2nd floor lounges planned. AA very likely to be above the T4/T5 headhouse. Either B6 or someone else (a credit card?) above the gates.
I will miss sitting in the T5 AC and looking out to see NK planes!
If the new lounge in the T4/T5 headhouse is going to be a new FL, then it's going to be a long walk from there to TBIT for the int'l flights that depart from there. Or would it make more sense for the new T4/T5 lounge to be a new AC and for AA to expand the current FL to take over the current T4 AC space? Hope we get some more details from AA soon on what will happen at LAX.
