Yes,I don't think it's 15K GGL either. I probably hit the average of 2 visits a month. There are a few of us 'bucket and spade GGL' here who managed to get GGL through the double tier point offer when it first came out noting that combining the offer with the reduced covid thresholds meant you could get it for 3750 TPs. It was a smart move clearly never to be repeated. But 5000 old TPs is tough for a leisure traveller to achieve even with a double TP offer. And there was a big clear out of GGLs after COVID with many companies dropping business travel and the COVID generosity of retained status going away. Even for those whose business travel has recovered, while they might achieve 3K on a regular basis, regaining GGL with 5K after losing it is significantly harder.
As others have said, in my experience on most flights I'm the only G0 on the plane. And while I'm by no means its most frequent denizen I know a few staff in the CCR by name and they recognise me. So I really think that 5K GGL is more likely.
