That is my plan, until / unless there is confirmation that HA flights booked on AS website will qualify for elite benefits. Mixed itineraries are still an open question, I booked an upcoming HA interisland to AS mainland trip on AS website, as there was U (unicorn) space available at time of booking, will risk the Y+ upgrade on the interisland flight.

Very concerned about the availability of Y+ upgrades on a planned HA mainland round trip later this spring, which I plan to book on HA website shortly.
