Just had a two night stay at the Hyatt Regency TST after my two night stay at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Pics from posts above still appears the same.
Arrived by MRT East Tsim Sha Tsui station and walked about 8 minutes to the N exits for K11. Big sprawling underground tunnels for sure. Somehow ended up outside and walked to the entrance on Hanoi Road.
Entrance to lobby is one set of elevators. Lobby was crowded around 2pm so I asked a passing staff if I can go to the lounge for check in and was directed to the elevators where I was swiped up to the club floor.
Welcomed to the hotel by club staff and checked me in in no time. Told I was upgraded to harbor view king on the 20th floor. Gave lounge sheet and explained that breakfast can be had in the restaurant as well as the lounge. View from the lounge is fairly good.
Room is slightly more dated (or less updated than the GH). Still nice with a good view out to the water except with the Daikin and Peninsula building smack on the middle. Bed is comfortable and has a big glass desk good work setup. I like the bathroom setup where the shower and tub is in the same “enclosure”. Take a shower and jump into the tub if needed.
The pool is under renovation. Gym is relatively large take one end of the building.
Club lounge happy hour from 530p to 730p. Nice offering of 2-3 hot items, soup, dimsum, bread basket, 3 specialty salads, salad bar, two types of sushi, and other cold items. The lounge will get crowded but flow is better than the GH. Staff members all fast and efficient.
Breakfast in the lounge is fairly simple with everything one needs including some cook to order options.
Breakfast on the lobby floor restaurant had a lot of options. Indian corner, eggs bar, full English, noodle bar, and Asian flavors. Lots of food but it was more quantity over quality. All staff members were nice and fast to clear plates.
The hotel is basically on top of the K11 mall with some good restaurants and a supermarket. Connected to TST and East TST station though it could be a long walk. Area also has lots of small eateries and such.
For easier access to restaurants and such, the HR wins over GH. I would probably pick HR over the GH because of price and category next time I’m in town and maybe try out the Centric if I need to be on HK island (because I do like the areas around Causeway Bay and Central).
