While we wait to have the lifetime year counter updated, may I ask a question as I'm close to lifetime platinum. Here's my situation:
- Been Platinum for several years, Platinum in 2023, and again reached >50 nights (but <75) in 2024.
- I'm Lifetime Gold Elite
- My "Years as Platinum" counter is at 9. This will hopefully (fingers crossed) be updated to 10 in the coming weeks, as I maintained Platinum in 2024.
- My nights counter is at 542, i.e. 58 nights shy of 600
Question: If I do NOT achieve 50 nights in 2025, I assume I will be downgraded to Gold in March 2026. Then, once I reach 600 nights, will I be upgraded straight from Gold to Lifetime Platinum? Or can one only turn the "current status" into a lifetime status?
In other words, do I need to achieve 50 nights in 2025, or can I spread my outstanding 58 nights to fulfill LTP requirements over a longer period of time without worrying about keeping my Platinum status, as it would be reinstated the moment I achieve 600 nights? Can I spend e.g. 28 nights in hotels this year, and 30 next year, and then get LTP?
Thank you!! Just had a baby, so might be hard to achieve this in 2025...
