Actually, the understanding is that people who are taking the status match will not benefit from soft landing. So if they do not earn 900UXPs, they will fall back to whatever they have actually earned after one year (including straight to ivory if they don't make enough XPs for silver). It is also unclear whether the comped Ulti year would count towards the 10 years platinum leading to platinum for life if people do requalify.
