There are a few mentions of this hotel in the Jakarta general thread, but I thought I would start
this one specific to the property.

First of all, this is the same physical building as the old Sheraton Bandara, it has just been re-flagged from a
local chain which took it over when Sheraton last de-flagged it. It has been repainted, and furniture updated, but the physical plant reflects that of a 40 year old property- outdoor hallways with original stones.
For example, the bathroom and other interior doors are battered, and show signs of multiple patchwork paint jobs,
as well as holes in the doors where different hardware had been previously installed. The one noticeable
improvement is that the smell of mold and mildew is gone.

I took the shuttle from CGK to the airport, the driver was kind enough to wait for me after my flight was delayed
around 45 minutes. The entrance road to the property has changed from previous - it is now a rather long and
convoluted winding way in. The exit is the old road - directly to the airport access highway. Pickup was
arranged via Chat on the app after they ignored my previous email and text messages.

I was upgraded to a very nice 2 room/1.5 bathroom suite - generous size, clean, comfortable. The only thing I disliked
was a round coffee table instead of a proper work desk.

At check-in, I was told the lounge was not open yet, but alternate arrangements were available. Since I was
not going to be in the hotel during happy hour, I ignored the details.

Breakfast in the main restaurant was provided as a Plat, and it was very, very good. Large selection of western
and Asian choices, fresh, warm, tasty. Excellent fresh breads and pastries, and fresh squeezed OJ.

I had only 2 complaints - I checked in well after midnight for a 2 night stay. At check-in, they asked me if
I needed the shuttle on departure, and I told them yes - at 7:00 AM. The following morning at 7 I had a
call asking me why I was not on the shuttle. When I finally got back to sleep, before 8:00 AM housekeeping
was knocking on the door - I told them to come back later. They never did. When I returned to the hotel at
9:00 PM after a full day of meetings, the room had not been cleaned.

Those 2 minor complaints aside, I was quite pleased with the stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
