Proper suitcase, actually smaller than the first bag, also under the weight. I definitely would've remembered if they tried to bring that up. Per AC during check-in process and then at the counter for both flights, that's their fees for the second piece of luggage. I didn't think of screenshotting that part of my check-in fees, just have my receipts and there is no mentioned of overweight/oversized luggage, just that it's interline baggage.

Will be writing to AC now and see how that goes.
