what do you mean?

people in this forum speak of ‘linking’ reservations as if it is an actual thing. The only thing you can do to ‘link’ a reservation is to have a note added. If an agent is looking, they might see it, but in reality, does nothing. It won’t change anything ‘the system’ does, and any agent caring to look at the notes can do anything separately the same, note or not. Automated rebooking in case of IRROPs, for example, may by chance rebook on the same alternate flight, or very well may not. Calling to get you both on the same flight is something an agent can do no matter what.

TSA will not care that you are traveling together. If one does not have pre-check on the BP, they won’t get to go in Precheck line. Minors traveling with parents who have Precheck on the same reservation will also show pre-check on the BP so will be able to go through.

I thought it was 12 and under also. Our whole family, including 9 and 6 yo have had Nexus since kids were <1 though, so really haven’t thought about this since our kids get it no issues anyway.

What kind of parents would do this? Either get GE for the kid or use MPC or wait in regular line together.

MPC is the smarter way to do this, probably, so you are definitely on the right track here. For the record, for anyone who is interested, bringing a non-GE member with you through GE line, even your own kids, is likely a great way to lose your own GE.

also for the record, GE is now free to minors (<18, IMO), so worth getting a membership now for the kid. Even if we had to pay for it for all 4 of our family, would be well worth it for us, given our travel patterns.
