I received this email today with a certain amount of excitement: "Your seat has changed to Allegris"

Carry on to view the seat map and the excitement soon changed to pure confusion. Thankfully this thread has helped a lot already, but still so many questions... where do I even start.

So the Mrs and I were comfortably assigned a window pair in the classic A350 seating. Not been a problem for us before. Now we got moved automatically to... one "privacy seat" on starboard. and one "extra space" in the centre on the same row.

All available seats are are marked as "free of charge" in the LH seatmap.. that is... all seats in rows 9-12 Rows 2-8 which includes our current seats, are fully blocked (a surprise since when I last checked under a week ago, cabin was almost empty)

Business suite is of course marked as fully blocked, there's no option for a paid upgrade.

My instinct told me to ditch our current seats and pick 10D and 10G, one of which is apparently an "extra long bed" (wow &#129321 whatever that means, (I suppose it's a deeper foot well?) But how is the connection between the opposite aisle seats? The comment above about partition not working well in suite did not exactly inspire with confidence... and those seats seam to be even further apart facing opposite ways, so not great. Anyone here has travelled in a couple on those?

Maybe we should rather keep our current seats since they are both something special in these unique allegris ways?

(OMG what is LH thinking of trying to charge these prices on top of tickets?!?!? Are they insane?!)

Or is it worth calling them and asking to be put in the one of the duo suites? I have no status whatsoever at present, but a "dissapointed to be split up" spiel might do the trick?

And the flight is MUC-PEK, lasts.... 10h20m... and is a night flight. Are we not going to get any bedding because of being 10mns short!
