A couple of years ago I did OLCI for a Hilton hotel and was surprised I could see the floor map and choose which room I like.
With Marriott, several times I tried OLCI and requested to make sure we get two robes in the room (so my wife and I can go to hot-tub). Never got it. Other times I've requested for shower gel because it is out but never got it (had to call). Marriott staff may have read the OLCI or chat comments and responded that they'll do, but I haven't seen them acting on them.
So for my experience, OLCI doesn't seem to add value to Marriott.
