I was just on another FF site and it was going 6 to 1 for AS to stay with miles. And of those that want AS to stay with miles about 75% would jump ship or go free agent. I also want cheaper fares, a broader network, more premium aircraft configurations, and better IT systems so I can change seats, generate boarding passes, save my travel documents, and check-in to my flights reliably. I also want a dedicated 100k line, better irops protection, longhaul upgrade instruments a la SWU/GUC/+p and a myriad of other things. I'm sure most FF (who actually understand the program) will prefer a system that benefits their situation so that poll isn't surprising. And AS will prefer a system that maximizes revenue and returns for their shareholders.

My magic ball hasn't been working but I'm not very confident in this prediction. Regardless, we can expect Alaska to continue down a path that they believe is best for them, and we can only respond likewise and vote with our dollars. Brett's quote seems an awful like foreshadowing, though.
