My Main concerns I guess would be a combo of 1-2-3.

I'm currently Diamond, star gold is of importance to me. I'm currently going to try and requalify by the end of May 2025, with the idea that this plan to be dropped by June, would likely not be instant. If I'm able to maintain my star gold from May 2025 to May 2026 then cutoff to Skyteam, i'd be fairly satisfied, anything short of a year would be disappointing to me, my other option is to start crediting NOW to Aegean/Turkish and try and meet their thresholds to qualify, but they're much higher. Re-qualifying with either of those doesn't seem to hard but I need like 24,000 to maintain diamond, I'd need at least 40,000 to hit one of the others. Also, I would ASSUME that even if Asiana leaves star alliance say, Dec 31, 2025 that I'd be given Skyteam Elite Plus for either 1/1.5/2 years, since I hold top tier status in star alliance currently. Am I being to presumptive there? Is there a world where Diamond gets dropped into some KE category that only is Skyteam Elite (tbh i don't even know much about their tiers, my main concern would be lounge access, I suppose baggage allowance and then things like priority check-in) and only Diamond Plus would get shifted into a KE tier that is Skyteam Elite Plus?

My other concern I guess would be my miles, I do have half a mind to redeem them now before it's too late, but I don't really wanna pay the high fees they tack on. I also only have like 85,000 miles so it's not like I'm sitting on a mountain of them. I've also got plenty of star alliance miles in Aeroplan. If those miles were transferred to Skyteam though, they'd be a little redundant, because I'll be an SK millionaire by then, but I feel like there might be a reason to allow that to happen because maybe a new program doesn't have YQ fees, or maybe there's some early promos to take advantage of. I'm gonna be keenly awaiting any further news, my first flight of 2025 is coming up in about 10 days and I have to decide if I wanna credit to Asiana or start somewhere new, I'm open to opinions, I went through all this a few weeks ago and did land on sticking with Asiana, using whatever time I had left on their star gold to start a new program and double dip with lounge access and whatever, but accruing to Aegean (or whomever) but I'm also open to changing if it's compelling or if news comes out that pushes me in that direction.
