As usual, AS manages to write terms and conditions that are clear as mud.
”Rollover elite-qualifying miles: Members selecting rollover elite-qualifying miles will have the elite-qualifying miles deposited into their Mileage Plan account within the first month of the next program year. For members qualifying for a milestone in the current calendar year, the end of the program year is December 31 of the following calendar year. Rollover elite-qualifying miles are nonredeemable and cannot be used toward award travel.”
To me rollover means that something you have in excess can be moved to the next year. So if you have 85k EQM and select this benefit, would you move 10k EQM from the current year to the next, i.e., you are (after selection) at 75k and have 10k for the next year?
(and what happens if you then earn another 10k and get back to 85k? Doesn’t seem to make sense)
