If I remember correctly, AC's website cannot show you *A Gold or Aeroplan Status or Credit card baggage allowance on the reservation (Manage booking) page, but when you check in and select the number of check bags, it will return a $0 charge for up to your *A Gold or Aeroplan Status or Credit card baggage allowance.
Can't comment the carry on though, since it's new to everybody... I suppose there's going to be a remark on the boarding pass saying no carry-on bags.
