Being able to book pretty much anyone speculatively marked the end of my loyalty to Southwest. The CP kept me fairly (functionally) loyal for quite awhile - especially during the Max fuss - but more recently my nonstop options have dwindled and my prices have risen. BOGO on higher fares just doesn't save enough for me to choose an unnecessary connection - occasionally WN's prices are actually *over* double legacy competitors. I still tend to shy away from the ULCCs because of their frequency issues - we do enjoy NK's big front seat when a nonstop is reasonably priced compared to a WN connection - but perhaps it's time to start treating Southwest as the backup plan more regularly.
